- Any fee as prescribed by the Central Government from time to time shall be paid to the patent office upon grant of a Patent.
- The Controller shall not do any act on any application filed in the patent office, unless the fee payable in respect of the application is paid.
- If the fee for any application to the patent office is not paid upon submission or within such time of submitting such documents with the patent office, such documents will not be considered as filed.
- After the grant of patent and within three months (or within extended period not later than 9 months) after registration of the patent in the register by the Controller, the renewal fee for the patent shall be paid for the patent in aggregate for all the previous years together right from 2 years after the application for patent is filed.
