Section 36 – Secrecy Directions to be Periodically Reviewed

Patent applications for inventions under the secrecy directions of the Central Government will be periodically reviewed by the Central Government or as per the requests made by the inventor (applicant) and if the Central Government considers that the disclosure of the invention will not affect the defence of the country or if the application is filed by a foreign applicant and if it is already published in some other country outside India, the Central Government shall notify the Controller to revoke the secrecy directions.

The Controller shall notify the applicant about the result on every reviews by the Central Government for secrecy revoking to the applicant of the patent.
