Rule 19L – Period for Establishing International Preliminary Examination Report and its Transmission.

28 Months from the priority date; or 6 months from the period as per rule 69.1 of the regulations under the Treaty for the start of the International Preliminary Examination; or 6 months from the date of receiving the translation furnished as per the regulations under the Treaty by the Examining Authority. Whichever expires last.

Rule 23 – The Requirements under this Chapter to be supplemental of the Regulations, etc., under the Treaty.

If there is a conflict between the provisions of the Patent Rules, the provisions, regulations and administrative instructions of the Treaty shall apply in relation of the international applications.
